House addition
The clients wanted to extend the existing house by creating an adjoining extension and a terrasse linked directly to the living area.
The 30m2 extension is built on two levels from the south-facing facade of the existing house.
A flat roof minimises the impact on the façade of the existing house.
The extension has a triple function : it allows the creation of a master suite on the first floor, a considerable extension of the living space with an office space on the ground floor and, finally, a 20m2 terrace adjoining the living space, partially sheltered by a pergola.
The complete renovation of this two-level house included a custom designed kitchen built on-site.
We designed an open and airy island that divides just the dining/living room in two and creates a drastic reorganization of space and circulation.
The focus was to create a comfortable and laid back ambiance using some antique furnishings and accessories from the house.
